Trend Alert: Prints!

April 20, 2016 1 min read

Some of the best parts about childrenswear are all the fun prints and patterns that are featured. Kids’ clothes tend to be as lively as they are, and one of the best ways to make an outfit stand out is by using a playful pattern. Florals are very feminine, polka dots are charmingly retro, stripes are classy and plaid is oh so cozy.

A great new way to reinvent these prints is by combining them! Don’t limit yourself to just one design, try a dress that creates a sophisticated and fun look by combining two. This style is very fashion-forward, so your little girl will be the chicest one on the playground. Just look at the runways of Marc Jacobs, Versace and Kate Spade for inspiration. The key to mastering this look is finding a happy medium between two prints. One shouldn’t over the power the other, and they both should be simple enough that when combined they work together harmoniously.

Our suggestion is to try out our Melanie dress! The bold navy and white stripes perfectly complement the playful pink and yellow flowers. It all comes together with the navy ribbon and pink flower accent at the waist and the simple and elegant silhouette is a wonderful finishing touch. Pick up on the colors in the dress with a pair of sunshine-yellow shoes and an adorable pink hairbow!
