The Power of a Shared Dream.

Jane Goodall and the power of a shared dream.

We have all had dreams for ourselves, but sometimes we are scared to share them.

One of the women who inspires us to share our dreams is Jane Goodall. When she was just a little girl, she knew that she wanted to work with animals. Jane was encouraged by her mother to fulfill her dream. She once said, “As a small child in England, I had this dream of going to Africa. We didn't have any money and I was a girl, so everyone except my mother laughed at it.”

Jane shared her dream with her mother, and her mother cheered her on. When Jane was invited to join an anthropologist in Africa to pursue her dream, her mother travelled to Africa
with her. Jane made several monumental discoveries about the lives of chimpanzees in Africa, and the world became mesmerized by her work. Today, she is a world renowned activist, author, environmentalist, and United Nations Messenger of Peace. In one of her books, My Life With Chimpanzees, Jane wrote: "The most important thing I can say to you -- yes, you who are now reading this -- is that you, as an individual, have a role to play and can make a difference.” (Source: http://www.janegoodall.org/jane)
